Adam played an early Jaya Ballard, Task Mage, and I was beaten handily. Series record: 0-1

Game 2
The game lasted a very long time, and I finally won with only four cards left in my deck. Series record: 1-1

Whoops!

Today, my "Izzet" deck squared off against Sam's "Blue" deck. I started off by playing my Wee Dragonauts. Later, Sam tried to gain control of it with Confiscate, but I changed Confiscate's target with my Reroute. I won it easily after that, or so I thought. After the game, I realized that Reroute had to be used on an activated ability, giving me an automatic D.Q. for the match.

Powering Up!

Today, my "Izzet" deck squared off against Sam's "Warrior" deck two times.

Game 1
I played an early Wee Dragonauts, followed by many instant and sorcery spells that helped power it up to finish Sam off. Series record: 1-0

Game 2
I used the same strategy to win the same way. Series record: 2-0

Killed from Blocking!

Today, my "Gruul" deck squared off against Jared's "Azorius" deck. Jared was able to play to play some good small creatures, but I took them out by forcing them to block my Burning Tree Bloodscale. His swarm shrunk faster than it could grow.
"Gruul" record: 3-2
"Gruul" record vs. Jared: 1-0

Deathspored!

Today, my "Fungus" deck squared off against Adam's "Sliver" deck. Due to mana problems, Adam was only able to play two slivers all game, which I quickly dispensed of with my Deathsore Thallid. I used Herd Gnarr to finish Adam off.
"Fungus" record: 9-3
"Fungus" record vs. Adam: 1-0
"Fungus" record vs. "Sliver": 1-0

Berserkers Over Warriors!

Today, my "Gruul" deck squared off against Sam's "Warrior" deck. For most of the game, all I was doing was giving my Gatherer of Graces lots of auras, which dealt enough damage to Sam for Scorched Rusalka to finish him off.
"Gruul" record: 2-2
"Gruul" record vs. Sam: 1-0
"Gruul" record vs. "Warrior": 1-0

Urza's Effort!

Today, my "Blue" deck squared off against Adam's "Faraie" deck. For the whole game, Adam had a huge swarm of creatures. I would have been killed very quickly, but I managed to play Urza's Armor which stopped all of Adam's 1/1 faraies in their tracks. I still lost though, when Adam played his Morsel Theft.

Spiraling Victory!

Today, my "Critical Mass" deck squared off against Jared's "Spirit Flames" deck. For the whole game, Jared was short on mana. Meanwhile, I kept my hand size full to maximize the power of my three Spiraling Embers, which were a big factor in my winning the game.

More Tribal Wars!

Today, my "Elf" deck squared off against Adam's "Faraie" deck. Early in the game, Adam was able to slow down my assault of elves, but the best defense can't last forever. My elves eventually built up a swarm for the win.

Tribal Wars!

Today, my "Kithkin" deck squared off against Adam's "Faraie" deck. For most of the game, I had no more than two creatures. In the end, Adam's faraies were able to fly over my grounded kithkin.

Mass Kill and Bounce Kill!

Today, my "Suspended Sentence" deck squared off against Sam's "Selesnya" deck. Sam started out by playing a Thallid, a Watchwolf and two saprolings, which all attacked me for points of damage. On my fifth turn though, my Riftwing Cloudskate came out of suspend and returned Reality Acid to my hand. In doing so, Watchwolf was sacrificed. During my main phase of that same turn, I played Festering March, which killed all of Sam's remaining creatures (since they were all 1/1). Sam never recovered from that turn, as he found himself stuck on two mana for most of the game.

Game 1
I played a bunch of elves and an Imperious Perfect, helping to an easy victory. Series record: 1-0

Game 2
With the help of Wellwisher and Timberwatch Elf, I had both a ton of life and a powerful attacker. Series record: 2-0

Roaring Fire!

Today, my "Critical Mass" deck squared off agiainst Karen's "White-Black" deck three times.

Game 1
I built up an early swarm while Karen had early mana problems. When Karen finally did get some creatures out, I used Kami of Fires Roar to prevent them from blocking my creatures. Series record: 1-0

Game 2
This game, it was Karen that built up an early swarm and me that had mana problems. The result was reversed as well. Series record: 1-1

Game 3
I got many of the same creatures that I got in the first game, while Karen got many of the creatures that she got in the second game. Luckily for me though, I got many strong burn spells to limit Karen's creature supply. Series record: 2-1

To limit Karen's swarm, I combined Reality Acid with my bounce back spells. I used my fliers to whittle her life down for the victory. Series record: 1-0

Game 2
I used the same approach as before, and I got myself the same result. Series record: 2-0

Trading Blows!

Today, my "Fungus" deck squared off against Chiraag's "Madness" deck four times.

Game 1
I had a large swarm of fungus out when Chiraag pulled out his Damnation, leading him to a comeback victory. Series record: 0-1

Game 2
Yet again, I built up a large swarm, but this time Chiraag had no Damnation to stop it. Series record: 1-1

Game 3
This game was almost an exact copy of the previous one. Series record: 2-1

Game 4
I had no chance in this game. Chiraag had Damnation in his hand for the whole game, but he never needed to use it. Series record: 2-2

Damnationed!

Today, my "Elf" deck squred off against Chiraag's "Madness" deck. The game went really well for me in the beginning. I started out with three Wellwishers (which were able to get me all the way up to 42 life), two Elvish Warriors, a Llanowar Elves and a Heedless One. Just when I thought I had myself an easy victory, Chiraag played Damnation, killing all of my creatures. He didn't let up after that either, as he followed up his mass creature removal spell with many of his own creatures. Chiraag took my life total all the way from 42 to 0.
"Elf" record: 5-2-1
"Elf" record vs. Chiraag: 3-2
"Elf" record vs. "Madness": 3-1

Short Lived!

Today, my "White" deck squared off against Chiraag's "Madness" deck. To make a long (actually short) story short, (shorter anyways), each creature I played did not live to see my following turn. At the end of the game, Chiraag had four Nightshade Assassins, two Trespasser il-Vecs and a Mirri the Cursed.

Sliver of Lands!

Today, my "White" deck squared off against Chiraag's "Sliver" deck. I started out by playing five quick, aggressive creatures. Chiraag, on the other hand, had to mulligan twice, due to mana shortage. Most of my attackers had flying, so I wasn't slowed down much when Chiraag finallly managed to play a Gemhide Sliver.

Cursed by Mirri!

Today, my "Gruul" deck squared off against Adam's "Golgari" deck. At first, it appeared that I was in good shape, since I had built up a swarm of four creatures. When Adam played Mirri the Cursed, I decided that the only way I could win was to attack all out every turn, hopefull only losing only one creature a turn. That ended up being a very bad idea, since each time Adam's Mirri the Cursed took out one of my creatures, it got more powerful. I ran out of creatures and life very quickly.
"Gruul" record: 1-2
"Gruul" record vs. Adam: 1-1
"Gruul" record vs. "Golgari": 0-1

P.S.: Adam actually likes to pronounce this deck "Guglori".

Endless Burn Targets!

Today, my "Goblin Burn" deck squared off against Sam's "Endless March" deck three times.

Game 1
I built up a swarm early, and after I played Goblin King, Sam had no chance. Series record: 1-0

Game 2
This game was the complete opposite of the first one. Raging Goblin was the only creature I played all game. Series record: 1-1

Game 3
This was by far, the closest game of the three. Early in the game, Sam and I traded blows, but I was overpowered in the end by Sam's Dust Elemental and Calciderm. Series record: 1-2

"Goblin Burn" record: 4-3
"Goblin Burn" record vs. Sam: 3-2

Frenzy was Fatal!

Yesterday, my "Red-White Scrap" deck squared off against Adam's "Rat Discard" deck. We traded blows early on, but I pushed across the final points of damage when I gave my Brion Stoutarm a Fatal Frenzy.

Raid the Law!

Yesterday, my "Gruul" deck squared off against Adam's "Azorius" deck. I started the game by trying to build up a swarm. That worked for a little while, but I had to blow up my Scorched Rusalka on Adam for the victory.

Izzen't any Mutations!

Yesterday, my "Izzet" deck squared off against Adam's "Simic" deck three times.

Game 1
Adam drew two lands all game, while I combined my Wee Dragonauts with my Psycotic Fury. Series record: 1-0

Game 2
Adam still never drew a single Forest. Tibor and Lumia did the trick for me this game. Series record: 2-0

Game 3
Adam got more mana this game, but my Wee Dragonauts and Tibor and Lumia were still too much for him to handle. Series record: 3-0

"Izzet" record: 4-2
"Izzet" record vs. Adam: 3-1
"Izzet" record vs. "Simic": 3-0

Set Aflame!

Yesterday, my "Kithkin" deck squared off against Adam's "Elemental" deck. Right from the start, I was short on mana. Adam, on the other hand, had no shortage of mana. First, he used Seal of Fires to get rid of my early creatures. Then, he combined his Soulbright Flamekin with his Flamekin Brawler to deal more than enough damage to take me out.
"Kithkin" record: 6-2
"Kithkin" record vs. Adam: 1-1

Drawing, but not Damaging!

Yesterday, my "Critical Mass" deck squared off against Adam's "Draw" deck. To make a long story short, I started out by playing a bunch of small creatures that I attacked with each turn. Adam, on the other hand, played a bunch of spells that let him draw cards (most of which just let him draw more cards). You can probably guess the result.
"Critical Mass" record: 3-5
"Critical Mass" record vs. Adam: 2-1
"Critical Mass" record vs. "Draw": 1-0

Demon Horned!

Yesterdy, my "Black" deck squared of against Adam's "Rat Discard" deck. The both got off to pretty slow starts, but I had the advantage of a Demon's Horn, letting me outlast Adam for the victory.

Second to Suffer!

Yesterday, my "Critical Mass" deck squared of against Adam's "Spirit" deck. Things started out slowly for me while Adam used his Elder Pine of Jukai to both get him the lands he needed and keep his hand size full. This all led up to one giant Kagemaro, First to Suffer. I got hit with a lot of damage making me the second to suffer.

Lurking in Shadows!

Yesterday, my "Elf" deck squared off against Chiraag's "Madness" deck. Chiraag was able to keep my life from growing by making sure to burn my Wellwishers the instant I played them. He also had a Trespasser il-Vec out, which he would give shadow each turn and attack me for direct damage. I barely squeezed away with a victory, since Chiraag's Trespasser il-Vec got me almost single-handetly down to 3 life. In the end though, my swarm of elves were able to prevail agianst Chiraag's one shadow creature.
"Elf" record: 5-1-1
"Elf" record vs. Chiraag: 3-1
"Elf" record vs. "Madness": 3-0

Landing Defeats!

Yeterday, my "Critical Mass" deck squared off against Jared's "Spirit Flames" deck three times.

Game 1
I was able to burn most of Jared's early spirits, but most of them came back all too easily with many of Jared's later soulshifting spirits. Once they came back, I had run out of burn spells, so Jared bulit up a large swarm for the victory. Series record: 0-1

Game 2
Jared played two early Petalmane Bakus and a Soilshaper, which gave him both more than enough mana to play power up spells and enough leftover 3/3 lands that could attack me. I was killed by a 10/10 land with trample, thanks to Jared's Strength of Cedars, Soilshaper and O'Naginata. Series record: 0-2

Game 3
Unlike previous games, when I burned Jared's creatures, Jared found himself lacking spirits with soulshift, helping me to my only win in the series. Series record: 1-2

"Critical Mass" record vs. "Spirit Flames": 1-2
"Critical Mass" record vs. Jared: 1-2

Spirited Victory!

Yeterday, my "Critical Mass" deck squared off against Adam's "Spirit" deck. Early in the game, I played many spirits along with my Skyfire Kirin, which let me gain control of Adam's creatures whenever I played may other spirits. Also, Adam stayed stuck on four lands for the whole game, leading my attackers through sparce defenses for the victory.

Killed for Rebelling!

Today, my "Rebel" deck squared off against Adam's "Zombie" deck. During the early stages of the game, things were looking fine for me as I was getting out a lost of rebels and even limiting Adam's swarm of zombies. That didn't last long though. Before I could blink, Adam started taking out my creatures with his kill spells and building up a swarm that I could not stop. After that, I was able to slow down Adam's swarm slightly, but the ending result was inevitable.

Swarm not Vanishing!

Today, my "White" deck squared off against Adam's "Vanishing" deck. I had a great early hand with lots of small creatures in it, including Suntail Hawk, Angelic Page, Tundra Wolves, Beacon Hawk and Crossbow Infantry. Using the swarm I built up, I got Adam down to 1 life fairly quickly. At that point, it looked like I had the victory all wrapped up, but it ended up being another four turns before I finally won, due to Adam's many damage preventing spells. Unfortunately for Adam the best defensive Magic deck can't win without some sort of offense.
"White" record: 7-2
"White" record vs. Adam: 5-2
"White" record vs. "Vanishing": 1-0

P.S.: A deck that I have that is all defense and no offense is my "Blue" deck.

Repeated Repeat!

Today, my "Fungus" deck squared off against Sam's "Blue-Black" deck. Things started out looking good for me when I played a Herd Grarr and enchanted it with a Verdant Embrace. Sam knew better than to let that go unnoticed though, as he quickly enchanted my Herd Gnarr with his Second Wind on the following turn, stopping my Herd Grarr from attacking. Still, my Verdant Embrace turned out to be very useful, giving me a saproling at the begining of both Sam and my turns. My saprolings came from other sources too, including my Sprout Swarm that I bought back every turn and an unmorphed Thelonite Hermit, which didn't just add four saprolings to the swarm, but it also made all of my saprolings 2/2. Using my giant swarm of 2/2 saprolings, I swarmed Sam for the victory.

Flanked!

Today, my "Black" deck squared off against Jared's "Flanking" deck. On my second turn, I played my Demon's Horn, but throughout the game, I wasn't able to gain nearly enough life to stop Jared's assault of knights. Most of my creatures couldn't survive through flanking either.
